You can also choose your image format in the Output Properties tab and

color settings. One of the benefits of using a PNG file besides the quality

is using the RGBA color format. By using RGBA, you can have

transparent pixels in your images (Figure 6.14).

That is useful to make renders with a transparent background. To render

images with no background, go to the Film settings and enable an option

called "Transparent" to make your renders appear with a transparent

background. Having transparent pixels is useful to compose renders

with other images. The option works for Cycles or Eevee (Figure 6.15).
